It's Wednesday once more and time to join the Independence Day celebration at Wednesday Hodgepodge.
1. What's one simple small pleasure on your summer 'to-do' list?
To read as much as possible.
2. Do you have strong feelings or opinions regarding the immigration debate in your home country? Feel free to share your thoughts, but please play nice.
The U.S.A. is a country filled with immigrants, which I think makes our country special, so I am in favor of immigration - as long as people come to our country legally.
3. What's something in your home or wardrobe that could be described as 'star spangled'?
I can't think of anything I have that is star spangled.
4. Is your house set up for a party?
No, my house is in an upheaval as we work on painting, decluttering and reorganizing.
5. What one never-before-visited city in America, would you most like to see?
Honolulu.
6. Your favorite red food? White food? Blue food?
Red - cherries, White - mashed potatoes, Blue - blueberries.
7. What freedom do you value the most, and why?
Freedom of religion because so many people in this world do not have that right and privilege.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Freedom comes at a cost; as a country, would we still be willing to fight for our freedom?
Woot woot...LOVE your number 1!!! Happy Hodgepodge!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hope heaven has a large library.
DeleteI love your #1 :) I am trying to do a lot of reading as well. Last summer i read about 6 books, mostly by Emily Giffin, you should read her work if you haven't!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the suggestion. I love when people share favorite books and authors with me.
DeleteStopping by from HP and I'm thinking your answer to #1 is certainly a whole lot more fun sounding than my #1. :o)
ReplyDeleteMay you have a wonderful day of celebration tomorrow!
Lea, I couldn't find your blog! I was directed to your Google+ page, but didn't see a blog link.
DeleteHonolulu: Now that's a good pick! :)
ReplyDeleteIf there's warm weather and the ocean, that's where I want to be.
DeleteImagine reading on a beach in Hawaii.... :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That sounds perfect.
DeleteI love reading too and have a few books lined up, ready to read. I'm currently reading two books at the same time depending on the mood I'm in. I rarely do this though and one is my first book on my Kindle. Enjoy your 4th!
ReplyDeleteYou only have two books going? I won't even tell you how many I am reading at the moment.
DeleteI am late here - but I am like you taking time to read this summer. God Bless America! Sandie
ReplyDeleteI realized I've been watching too much TV and want to return to my first love, books.
DeleteI was planning to do lots of reading too but then I started on some home improvement projects and organizing. What was I thinking?! LOL
ReplyDeleteTell me about it. All that work stuff cuts in on my reading time too.
