Five Minute Friday - Root
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together will all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
Eph 3:17-18
Whoa. Powerful words. We are rooted and established in God's love and Paul prays that believers will have the power to understand how wide, long, high and deep is Christ's love for us.
Were we not rooted and established in God's love, this knowledge of His love wouldn't even be available to us, we would know nothing about it.
But we do know about it. Can you imagine how we would be changed if we opened ourselves up to actually receiving this love?
Linking up to Five Minute Friday and sharing my perspective on the word prompt Root. Lately, I've been putting my own spin on these five minutes and trying to think of a scripture that contains the word of the week. So far it hasn't been hard.
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments.

I think that being rooted in Christ is fundamental to a Christian life too and to have Christian friends. sandie
ReplyDeleteAmen. It is through the love of Christ that we thus are able to "bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2) Praise God that that love is so very deep and high, wide and long. Be blessed.
