Crazy Days

Image
Transitional-Woman has been living through some crazy, busy days.  Not only hasn't there been time to blog (Because am I smart enough to have a large library of posts prepared ahead for busy times?  I think you know the answer.), there hasn't been time to cook or clean either.  Not to mention ironing, but, heck I try to avoid ironing and completely forget about doing it for weeks at a time anyway.  Laundry, on the other hand, I am good with laundry.  Getting it folded is a problem, though.  And did I mention I've been sick for two weeks?

So, anyway, I've got great material for posts bubbling in my head because there have been tons of transitions taking place in my world.  And one of those posts will be about Time Management because that's been a big mountain to climb lately.

I hoping to be back on track by the end of this week because not only have I been missing writing this blog, I've been missing reading my favorite blogs too.

One piece of business I neglected to mention was that there is a winner for the Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil (I used some of mine to make three loaves of banana bread today.  Want to guess how I did that with a broken oven?  Oh, yeah, I also haven't had time to shop for a new stove either).

The winner was Danielle C.  She has been notified and Tropical Traditions will be sending her a free quart of Virgin Coconut Oil very soon.

  2. Sorry to hear you've been sick!

Did you bake the banana bread in your crock-pot? I've always wanted to try that.

Thanks for the Coconut Oil giveaway! We are very excited about that here. I promised not to put it on anyone's oatmeal, though.

    1. No, not the crock pot. I used TT Coconut Oil in blueberry pancakes last week and they were great.

  3. Banana bread in the crock pot - works great! is that what you did? Hope your sickness wasn't too severe. If whirlwind was a weather condition, it seems blogland has been hit with that lately. Many of the bloggers are cutting back on posts, absorbed by life's demands. Something about this time of year, I guess. We are settling in to a school routine, with only two students this year. Re-adjusting to new schedules, new activities. Hope you are feeling better and things get fixed soon - look forward to more posts.

    1. I hope your adjustments go smoothly Maureen. I applaud you for continuing to teach your children. You'll never regret it. I missed not planning for a new school year over the summer and I'm sad that we're all done. But the Lord is filling the gap and I'm busier than ever.

  4. I think Maureen is right, blogs slow down a bit during those last days of summer. Banana bread in a bread machine? Have heard great things about coconut oil and coconut water which you can now buy in little take-along bottles. I need to re-energize my blog, but now I am visiting all I can from the Road Trip list to increase my blog list and lose the summer blahs which I have.

    1. I tasted coconut water in Costco this week. It was a little odd, but refreshing. I look forward to visiting your blog soon.

  5. I've been ignoring my blog! There's so much going on. N has pneumonia, A started college classes today--meaning I have to drive her, L is trying to start half days of home schooling. And I'm just crazy. We're a good pair.

    1. Lots going on in your household! So sorry about N.
I've been wondering if I have non-bacterial pneumonia, but I think I have finally turned a corner after getting my first good night's sleep in weeks (no coughing!).
